Episode Description:

Police & Public Safety Officers put their lives on the line for the citizens of the cities and counties that employ them. When they get injured in the line of duty, many of these outstanding, highly decorated officers have to fight tooth and nail to get their injuries taken care of despite state law that makes that care an automatic obligation of the cities and counties that employ them.

We revisit the case of Tracy police officer Jenny Moore, who you met on a previous episode who was charged with 12 counts of Workers Compensation Insurance Fraud while her doctor was scheduling her for surgery to replace 3 disks. How could there be such a radical difference of opinion by two supposedly competent physicians using the same industry standard tests and diagnostic procedures. We'll answer that question and some others as well.

We talk to a San Francisco Sheriff's Deputy who was injured on the job at the San Bruno County jail facility, but the Retirement Commission has been screwing around for 16 years and still refuses to award him his pension despite letters and pleas from doctors and even Mike Hennessey, the San Francisco Sheriff. Mike Hebel, the SFPOA staff attorney also joins us and tells us about this unusual case. Smells like a rotten egg at the Retirement Commission.
