Episode Description:

Filmed at the (CFPA) http://peacecoalition.org/ 33rd Annual Conference & Interfaith Service for Peace on Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Princeton featuring Noam Chomsky, Amy Goodman & Juan Cole. The show was filmed only 11 days after the devastating impact of Superstorm Sandy had to NJ and portions of the eastern cost and whose impact was felt well inland near Princeton..

I believe this is the best way to open my new show “A Progressive Voice”, by listening to Amy Goodman who is one of the most notable progressive advocates for creating independent media and supporting public broadcasting TV and Radio.

Amy Goodman had been news director of Pacifica Radio station WBAI in New York City for over a decade when she co-founded Democracy Now! Since then, Democracy Now has been called "probably the most significant progressive news institution that has come around in some time" by professor and media critic Robert McChesney. By coincidence it is also broadcast at the local community TV station Channel 30 in Princeton, NJ where I originally broadcasted this video in November 2012.

In this episode Amy Goodman provides vivid accounting of record of the events, conflicts, and social movements shaping our society today. She gives voice to ordinary people standing up to corporate and government power across the country and around the world.

This show has been previously broadcast at my local Community TV station that I work with Princeton Community TV http://www.princetontv.org/Home.html. The episode has been recently remixed and re-edited .
