Episode Description:

In this very timely presentation by Noam Chomsky after the collapse of the peace talks on April 29, 2014, Noam Chomsky spoke at MIT on May 6, 2014 on the Prospects for Palestine. The speech was sponsored by the Palestine@MIT group & and

Noam spoke for the first 46 minutes about Peace in Palestine. Now, with the collapse of the American-brokered Middle East negotiations, the Palestinian leadership is focusing on its diplomatic and legal struggle for international recognition of Palestine as a state under occupation and for Israel to be held accountable as the occupier.

In a beginning 46 Minute speech, Noam goes through the long history of the peace process for Palestine. He sees Palestine as a country who were colonized such as in the US and Australia which had rather bleak outcomes for those indigenous groups. He believes that the only thing that is stopping the peace process from moving forward is the policies and actions of both US and Israel government's. He as always believes in the human ability for countries and people to support peace in the region.

This is then followed by a 22 minute question and answer period. As is often the case, Noam's answers are extremely thought provoking while he further elaborates on the Palestine Peace Process.
