Episode Description:

The CNY is the most celebrated festival on Earth and while it’s called the New Year, it’s a Springtime holiday when homes and villages are traditionally cleaned and refreshed. It’s also the Aquarius New Moon, after which seeds generally germinate in the temperate northern hemisphere. This year, thanks to a New Moon Eclipse on the previous Christmas Day, the Metal Rat’s Spring celebration is happening early, so don’t expect his fellow rodent, the Groundhog, to see his shadow.
That New Moon Astrological Chart provides clues about what to expect in the coming year thanks to advanced software, the Calendar’s astrologers, Ralph & Lahni De Amicis, can also identify the geopolitical hotspots in the coming year. They are author/astrologers of the Planetary Calendar forecasts, and hosts of the eponymous TV show.
What are they seeing? Thanks to Venus in Pisces overhead, the Colorado cannabis industry will probably to see record profits this year, although that may spur more regulations and intrigue. The same Venus line can bring greater compassion and resources to the immigrant crisis at the USA border, and better economic prospects for Mexico. Meanwhile, due to Neptune in Pisces, Texas and Oklahoma will see continued growth through fracking, but they may be called to account for causing aquifer pollution and earthquake proliferation. California, with a fiery Mars in Sagittarius skirting the coast, will still be addressing the fires, but increased levels of cooperation, and a shared vision for the future will bring a sense of hope and renewed efforts.
On the USA Northeast the only people taking initiative will be the lawyers. Everyone else will be in reactive mode, not an enviable position. The southeast is in for increased flooding and infrastructure challenges. Relations with Europe, thanks to a Uranus Midheaven line off the coast, will continue to be disrupted. Thanks to a concentration of planets in compressive Capricorn hovering over the Pacific, we expect Pacific Rim tariffs to get worse.
Thanks to Jupiter and Uranus, the South China sea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines will share significant turmoil, some good, some bad! Thanks to a Sun Moon concentration powerful global leverage is being exerted by Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey and Moscow making cold, hard decisions.
