Detail For Show: Maine Photography Show 2011
The Maine Photography Show is now in its 6th year. It is the premiere photography show in Maine and is open only to Maine photographers. Presented by Boothbay Region Art Foundation it is a statewide competition, jurored this year by Jay Stock and blessed by monetary prizes from a list of new and returning photography supporters.
The highlights of this hour special include interviews with most of the photographers selected for the show as they dropped off their framed prints, comments by Jay Stock about his selection process and his reaction to the over 700 entries from which he had to choose, a tour of each framed image, and the announcement of winners at the Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony.
